Clicker is a very helpful tool for many people while training birds and other animals. I have never used clicker with my dogs and I've accomplished probably the most complex training there is for dogs in Tracking, Protection and Obedience and successfully trialed in all of them, BUT with birds I sure use it. Maybe it will be different for you and your "language" between you and your bird, but I encourage you to try it. Now, if you are not used to a clicker it will be tricky at first, you will have to learn to use your hand and manipulate the clicker, bird, rewards and props sometimes at the same time, but it can be done quite well once it becomes a second nature to you. I advice you to practice at first without the bird, it is only fair this way :)
